Technically the Spring Equinox comes next Tuesday, March 20, 2012. But here in my home town, the grass is already greening and the tulip leaves are shooting up through the ground. There are calendar days and then there are days of the soul, when we know Spirit is present and the Wheel begins to turn. Today is one of those days. As such with my Spirit meeting Spring, I wrote the below prayer. May it lift your day and bring joy unto your rites.
Blessed Goddess, Ostara Mother of Spring of Green plants that grow and bring us light and life. We bow to you on bended knee with a full heart and give glad tidings of joy for the wheel which turneth, bringing our faces to the Sun.
We hold the lovely Green in our hearts and the mating of male and female of all species which furthers the life force on our planet.
Blessed Mother, beautiful Goddess, within you and from you which all things proceed and unto whom all things must return, we joyfully welcome this new season and ever constant cycle of Spring into our lives!
Blessed Be, So mote it Be!
